Sitting close to the sea, Oban distillery emphasises the importance of local environment in the character of their whisky. Oban’s double worm tubs, used to condense the spirit, are run hot. This increases copper contact and moderates the meaty tones that are typical of a worm tub.
A creamy palate with balanced smoke, fruits, sweetness and spice. Medium bodied, robust yet not overpowering.
