What is different about our tasting experiences?

We are the only independent company hosting unique blind-tasting experiences and offering gift sets and sharing boxes to be enjoyed at home and among friends.  We are not affiliated with a specific distillery so are able to include whichever premium spirits best suit our themed collections.  Designed to be engaging, entertaining and just a little educational, our collections include tasting notes and insights into the characteristics of each spirit so you can challenge yourself to recognise their distinctive differences and, ultimately, identify which is which.  Then open the wax-sealed envelope for the great reveal! 

We offer private tastings and work in collaboration with a variety of venues to set up social events centred around premium flavour. Great for corporate events, you can choose to explore six single malt whiskies, local craft gins or non-alcoholic spirits or, to get everyone involved, we can run tastings side-by-side so guests can choose which spirits they would particularly like to explore.

Who do we work with?

We love partnering with premium venues, chefs and creative businesses to set up really unique events. Since starting at the wonderful Cridford Inn in Trusham, Devon (where we still present an annual Whisky Club series) we have been pairing  Scotch whisky and craft gins with amazing foods and tasting platters.  

One of our more unusual events was in conjunction with the Exeter Pheonix multi-arts venue where we accompanied a screening of the film "I know where I am going!" with a blind tasting of six premium single malts which captured the spirit (pun intended!) of the Isle of Mull, which is where the film was based.

How much do our tasting experiences cost?

Prices vary depending on the spirits selected, location and number of guests. Starting at just £25 per person for six shots of diverse and premium spirits, we offer everything from classic spirits to luxurious single malts showcasing the finest of Scotch whisky. Payments for events and private tastings.

When we collaborate with other venues to present tasting events guests book directly with the venue (which will have added its own costs to the overall event price). We will then invoice our partner and require payment within 30 days.  For private tastings we ask for a 10% deposit to secure the booking. We will then invoice the organiser, with the balance to be paid at the time of the tasting. Payment can be via Paypal, bank transfer or card.

How do our private tasting experiences work?

We come to your chosen venue with Glencairn nosing glasses, our six numbered sharing bottles and all the blind tasting content. We provide water pipettes for the whiskies, tonics and ice for the gins. Your host will introduce you to the art of blind tasting and together we will explore the diversity and roots of flavour. Providing a background to the history and production of the spirits featured, the evening culminates with the big reveal, where our guests discover how well they have done identifying the various spirits! Perfect for stag/hen parties or groups staying at holiday homes, we will come to you with everything needed for an entertaining tasting evening at home. We love delving into the histories and science of the spirits, but find our naturally evolve depending on what guests want to talk about! Tastings usually last 2 - 3 hours.

What are our tasting gift sets and sharing boxes?

Our tasting gift sets and sharing boxes are designed so you can set up the Azu blind tasting at home. Including six information cards that give you insights into each spirit, the blind tasting guide and our wax-sealed envelope for the ‘reveal’, we include six 30ml numbered bottles in our gift sets which are perfect for two to share. Our sharing boxes include six 100ml bottles and include everything you need to set up a unique blind tasting with four to six people.
