The Gins
Papillon Original Gin
Papillon is distilled from 17 botanicals including the traditional juniper, angelica, coriander and cubeb berries. These are blended with hand-foraged and locally sourced gorse, hawthorn berries, rowan berries, camomile and Devon violets. Using Dartmoor spring water, some botanicals are steeped overnight in the copper pot still before fresh botanicals are added, creating a complex but delicate spirit. The violet leaves and camomile flowers create a distinct florality unique to Papillon.
Dartmouth Gin
Paying homage to the historic maritime town of Dartmouth, the distillery on the Calancombe Estate produces a well-balanced and aromatic gin with citrus, spice, floral notes and sweetness. Their Müller copper pot still gives them precise control throughout the production of their spirit and includes a vapour infusion chamber to capture the more delicate flavours.
Brixham Gin Tattered Sails Hopped IPA Release
Brixham Distillery is a family-owned distillery located in the picturesque fishing town of Brixham. Nestled into the south side of Torbay, Brixham Distillery embraces the rich maritime heritage and natural beauty of the area to produce exceptional hand-crafted spirits. Brixham Gin’s flagship recipe is Red Sails, but we have selected their Tattered Sails release. Inspired by the taste of a traditional Indian Pale Ale, this presents a unique blend of citra hops, juniper and bergamot lemon.
Copper Frog Gin
Valuing quality and consistency, Copper Frog’s carefully crafted spirits are celebrated by locals for their complex, smooth and fragrant character. The distillery uses pure filtered water from Exmoor National Park and steam distils the botanicals in a handmade Portuguese still. Creating a smooth gin with layers of complexity and delicate yet fragrant aromas, this locally renowned distillery is a wonderful representation of true craft distillation.
Thunderflower Gin
A smooth, spicy and herbaceous craft gin, Thunderflower uses pure Dartmoor spring water in production and extracts the flavour of the botanicals through vapour infusion. Using traditional botanicals such as juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root and cassia bark, the liquorice adds a slight sweetness and the pink peppercorns and cardamom seeds add to the spicy character. With the sage, elderflower, heather and lemongrass, this piney, citrus and earthy underlayer enhances Thunderflower’s distinct character.
Exeter Gin London Dry
Paying homage to the city’s Roman heritage, Exeter Gin has chosen a selection of botanicals favoured by these early visitors to the area. With basil, cinnamon, marigold, cardamom and tarragon alongside 11 other traditional gin botanicals, they have created a bold, aromatic gin with bursts of citrus and spice. Valuing family and legacy, one of their stills is named after Grandmother Ellen and another after Granddaughter Isabelle. They even have a sister brand named after Granny Garbutts (with a Navy Strength version called Grandad’s Revenge!).
